Google announced their Chrome OS as an OS perfected for web-use. I’m wondering: Is there a Linux distro that does the same job already?
My experience is that the less “bling-bling”-settings you can configure on the OS, the faster it’ll boot. I don’t need no fancy moving background or desktop widgets.
Just gimme a browser and I’m happy. So if you have any suggestions, please tell me!

There are MANY for the Eee laptops. Some are really good too. To mention a couple:
Easy Peasy (formerly known as ubuntu-eee): http://www.geteasypeasy.com/
Minimal Debian distro: http://eeeos.interactivelaboratories.com/

The EeeOS (minimal debian) has the kind of spirit I’m looking for, although they bluntly say that it doesn’t work “out-of-the-box”. Then again I’d like to try it. See what I’ll make out of it.
