Why I Quit Facebook …Again

I deactivated my FB account back in 2007, right after it became popular for mainstream media to write four-pages long analysis’ of celebrities’ pictures and wall posts. On April 1st 2011, I returned.

It started as an Aprils fools joke

But the one I intended to fool did not want to accept my request. Probably because I’d told her, while I was drunk, it was going to be an aprils fools joke. Then again, I’m not a thinker of thoughts.

I went on using it from April 1st, and it went pretty well for about two days.

Then the nuisance started

• people poked me back and forth
• some contacted me through cellphone just to know I hadn’t added them yet
• people sent messages to notify me that they also were on FB
• others got annoyed that I’d added their friends before them…seriously

There was more, but I can’t bother to write it down. Use your imagination for once, for fucks sake.

Reasons why I don’t want/need to be on Facebook

I don’t need acknowledgement that I am, indeed, the best person ever

I am the best person ever. Period.

“Friends” wants attention. Every. Fucking. Second.

and last but not least…

I already procrastinate too fucking much. If you don’t have a registered account on reddit already, you don’t know what I’m talking about.

After subscribing to tons of subreddits I can’t do anything else but read, discuss and up/downvote. It’s the best drug since LSD.

The Internet = Reddit.

I wish I could marry myself for being so awesome.
