I just sit back, put on some Daft Punk and start reminiscing back to the days the rat named Pusi was alive. ’twas my brother’s rat, though I was as much, and sometimes, maybe, more involved in her life (yes the rat was a female) than he was. I dunno, just my perspective, ya know? Anyways I wasn’t here to talk about Pusi, though she will forever be remembered. Reason I started talking of her was because I was introduced to Pusi and Daft Punk’s Discovery-album at the same time (both brought to me by my brother). Listening to Daft Punk’s Discovery-album always makes me feel, I don’t know, younger? The 8-bit musical geniouses (that they are) makes me want to dance…sometimes! But you can’t live on three albums (excluding Alive from ‘97) forever, right? So you need to get some alternative medicines for your need of 8-bit techno.
This is where one of my favourite musical artist comes in. Cue light, drumroll and presentation:
Binärpilot (http://www.binaerpilot.info). If there’s anything that resembles Daft Punk, Aphex Twin and a bit of Kraftwerk - it’s him. Funny thing is, he’s also from Northern Norway like me and he now lives (according to the small pieces of information gathered around the net) in Oslo. Worst thing about me is that I’ve missed out on two times when he’s been playing live in town. First was when he was ravin’ about with Goto80 at Blitz and second time was last Saturday when he enchanted the audience at Glassbaren. If there’s a person I’d like to meet right now, and maybe have a few beers with - it’d be him. And Kevin Smith too, of course.
What’s also great about Binärpilot is that - for now - all his tracks are free to download. That’s why I’d recommend you to go over there and download and start dancing. His 8-bit music was actually the first MP3-files I got at work, since I’m actually not allowed to have illegal downloaded music on the harddrives/network folders. There’s nothing more to it. I’d let you experience Binärpilot for yourself and you might want to dance - like I do. Enjoy.

Michael:
God I remember Pussy, what a fat rat she was. Maybe because you fed her with cream. Makes me miss my rat, previusly known as Aneegro (after the teacher Anne-Gro) and later to be known as Inger, my evil nemesis from elementary school. Man that was some cool rat, I think I have to get another one. Even though I always hated to clean up the cage, rats are such social and cool animals. I don’t understand people who get a mouse or something similar, I mean, rats are so much smarter and cooler in every way.

And if there’s a fire, they find a way out instead of running around in circles, barking.

I recently dreamed about Pusi. She was eating my computer cables. In one way, I think it was for the better that she died. She wouldn’t have been happy now that it’s all wireless..
I’ve got a bunch of pictures of her coming up soon.
Here are some webcam pix: http://www.sigg3.net/myself/index.php?show=pgallery
RIP.
