Thanks to Haltemien, I got this “news” from Diablo3.com (which is not owned nor hosted by Blizzard): Ten days ago, a countdown-box was added to the Diablo-fansite Diablo3.com. It claims that half of the web (please, be realistic) is going to link to their site on May 1st. Why?
Heck, I don’t know. But they’ve published news it ain’t going to be:
Instead of just naysaying all guesses, here’s some possible outcomes of May 1st, which I’ve gathered by clicking through alot of the pages on the forum post:
Personally I believe it’s going to be some kind of LOLcat or some shizzle like that. Nothing personal against the D2-fanbase, but it’s time to move on, eh?
You’ll also notice I haven’t linked to their site, as I don’t want to make it easier for them to gain website traffic if all they’re posting is something goofy. Such as Goofy.

so it was that Blizzard is aquiring Diablo3.com… how boring, even tho some think that means blizzard is going to make a new diablo game. if that is the case theyr probly just thinking about it, i bet there will go at least 1,5 years untill they say they are thinking about making a new diablo game, and then it will take 3 years untill we get in game videos.

There’s still lots of rumours around, especially one about Blizzard acquiring a lot of new people for their next-gen MMO (which ain’t WoW). Since we, the gamers, are getting StarCraft 2 sooner or later, we shouldn’t scuff off the idea of Diablo 3.
Speaking of next-gen MMO…what is that exactly? A MMO where you can kill the NPCs for good, or buy land and build a house? I can’t see what’s the next generation in that…any ideas?
To make it even more interesting, I quote from Blizzard’s own homepage: Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Diablo and Diablo II, is looking for a senior 3D environment artist skilled at creating models and texture maps for both architectural and natural environments. The ideal candidate has experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments. Read it all here…
