As an old professor from the future would’ve exclaimed: Good news everyone! The first episode of the Penny Arcade game have been released. A game which uses characters from a webcomic and is set in a 1920s universe. What features will the players get?
First, there’s the cross-platform support. It’s simply brilliant! You pay for a license, and after that you choose to play on a PC (Win2000/XP/Vista or Linux), or a Mac (OS X 10.4/10.5) or on a soon-to-be-released Xbox 360. Best thing is that you can play with the same license-key on all the platforms.
Second, it’s a hilarious steampunk-filled universe which is invaded by millions upon gazillions of Fruit Fuckers 2000. If that can’t beat any mainstream million dollar game, I just don’t know what can. Besides hordes of midgets dressed as roman centurions, of course.
Third, the game is said to feature elements inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. If you don’t know who that is, I can summarize it in one word: Cthulu. There you have it. And to think there’s a cel-shaded game that gets its inspiration from Lovecraft…well, you just got to hand it to them. They’ve mastered the art of nerdism.
Fourth, it’s cheap. $19.95 USD ain’t much for a game that’ll make you laugh and have fun killing invading robots. Not even Portal did that! You can get over to playgreenhouse’s website and pay for it, download and start playing right away. Or you could check out the Episode One trailer (YouTube). The choice is yours.

Let’s not forget it’s also good for the environment. I’m downloading the demo right now (at 80 percent). Looking forward to testing it out. At least I know I can play this game, something I can’t say for Age of Conan.

Hmmm…. meh. Doesn’t look interesting. Why? Didn’t draw my attention the first time it got announced.
No particular reason really. It just didn’t.
What game is drawing my attention at this moment is ; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I can’t wait for Blade of the Immortal 19 to come out!.
