Last time I wrote about Diablo 3, it was about Blizzard buying diablo3.com from the wild nerdian fans who’d owned it before. Now it looks like the speculations and the secrecy have born fruit – real juicy and mushy fruit.
The civil service worker at work told me he – in his network of hardcore Blizzard fans – knew an informant who’s a close friend of a staff member at Blizzard. And what he told his friend – who told to the network that the civil service worker at my work, who then again told me – that the splash screen currently on Blizzard.com, is going to be changed to a Diablo 3 splash screen on the upcoming Saturday.
Although this information is not to be completely trusted, I do trust the civil service worker’s hardcore love for Blizzard – since the only thing he does at work is to either play WoW or hang out at Blizzard gaming forums/IRC.
If you haven’t read anything about the splash screen, I’d suggest you read:
I only do hope they create a real hellish Cow Level this time. If you do come over some other interesting theories, please tell. What’d you prefer Diablo 3 to be – MMO or hack ‘n slash?

I love Diablo, and I’m glad it’s not a mmo though.
D3′s gameplay is the typical 3rd person view. It’s a classic, and the new classes are kinda neat as well

Indeed, it was great news that they’d not made it into a MMO. Since they’ve mentioned that they’ll use Battle.net just like the other two Diablo-games, it might also not be pay-to-play. But sometimes I’d hope they’d stop milking their cows and instead create new games, with new original universes and such…
