Last Three CDs I Ordered

Usually I’m not the big collector of compact discs, but some records are hard to find online (through mp3 stores ‘n shit). Here’s the last three CDs I ordered:
- Pete Christlieb: Self Portrait

Before Tom Waits’ Nighthawks at the Diner I hadn’t heard about Pete Christlieb. When I found his website and listened to some of his works, I knew I had to order this one asap.
- The Pete Christlieb Quartet Live-Dino’s ‘83

Not just Pete on this one, but also Mike Melvoin stars in this trio. Additional musicians in the trio: Jim Hughart (Bass) and Nick Ceroli (Drums). Excellent live jazz!
- Rick Trolsen: Sunrise On Bourbon Street

Classic New Orleans jazz songs performed by Rick Trolsen and Tom Saunders, Steve Pistorius, Herman LeBeaux, and others. Call it a renewal of old jazz classics.
I’ve listened mostly to Live at Dinos ‘83, but when I need feelgood jazz or something I can listen to while reading, I’ll listen to the other two. I recommend checking ‘em out at CD Baby (streaming).
