Blizzard, when it comes to the Dark Templar model, is like a teenage girl: Indecisive. Both models are awesome, yet which one will become the default? Blizzard: We’ll let the players vote for it, while we chew on some fat cuban cigars!

Description: The first option represents the Lenassa tribe of dark templar, which made its debut in the original StarCraft. This unit carries a single warp blade, and a cloth shroud covers its face.
Whenever I see this I feel the urge to play. I am Protoss by default (love pylons, love Carriers), and this model got Protoss written all over it. Like a walking poster with a laser blade. Awesome!

Description: The second option represents the Zer’atai tribe of dark templar, who wield dual scythes and wear an ensemble of heavy armor and the bones of slain zerg.
First thought: Predator. Second thought: Protoss. Third: Awesome. The dual wielding is nice, but also kind of Darth Maul-wannabe. It just gives me some bad heebie-jeebies.
Prop the drumroll! My vote goes to… the Lanessa model! StarCraft 2 is still StarCraft, and I don’t see why you should replace the model entirely. It would be like making the Orcs in WarCraft IV (Oh God/Blizzard! Please please please!) look cute and fluffy.
As it is right now, the third (!) option – both models should be used – is in the lead by 64.1%. The Lanessa model is on second place with 26.22%. The vote will close on Febuary 5th at 11:22 AM CET, so get your digital ass over there and make your vote!
