Awesome Upcoming Movies In 2009

Last year was a good year, movie-wise. This year will be as good, I believe. Here’s some movies I’m looking forward to:

Public Enemies

Comment:

Finally a movie with both Christian Bale and Johnny Motherfucking Depp! I’m looking forward to this one, and it’ll be great to see how they perform against each other.

Terminator: Salvation

Comment:

Bale as John Connor? Seriously? Aaaaaaallllrrrrrright! This movie is absolutely going to make up for the shitty Transformers-movie. Who cares about Optimus Gay-on-PrimeTV anyways? See. None.

Norway: June 5th, 2009

Star Trek 11

Comment:

Fuck the plot! It’s Star Trek! This is the “great” prequel of all prequels (except that The Hobbit will rock this movie back to TOS). I’m overly satisfied with Simon Pegg as Scotty the Scotsman too.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Comment:

Let me just quote from the ‘Imaginarium production blog:

Tom Waits, not having much to do for the London shoot, joined the cast in Vancouver. The gravel-voiced bluesman turned out to be one of the friendliest people on set, enjoying his role considerably. Gilliam had given him as much creative freedom as he needed to create his vision of the devil.

Bruno

Comment:

Sacha Baron Cohen is back! This time he’s playing the character Bruno, an Austrian homosexual reporter. It’ll be like Borat, just even more stereotypical! The movie and the actor have already received attention from the media.

Inglorious Basterds

Comment:

Another Tarantino-flick is always welcomed. Although I have mixed feelings on ‘Basterds, I do hope it’ll be something besides the millions of other WWII-movies we’ve already got.

Crank: High Voltage (aka Crank 2)

Comment:

I had a blast when I saw Crank. A perfect movie to watch, if you want action. I believe this sequel is going to give us even more of that action. Can’t wait. Check out the Break.com Crank 2 Trailer.
