I’ve been visiting IceFrog’s blog almost every day since Easter, to see if he’ll tell us more about the upcoming 6.60-version. Five days ago, he posted this:

Shop layout for DOTA 6.60.
Further, IceFrog tells us:
The goals are both to make room for the recently added items and more importantly to organize them in a manner that makes correctly guessing where an item is an easy task for both existing and new players alike. Read full post >
Although I haven’t been playing DOTA (6.59) for some weeks, I’m really looking forward to 6.60. New items, new hero (Tauren Chieftain!) and hero-remakes!
Hopefully we’ll get to see some alterations to Phantom Lancer and Lycanthrope.

Michael:
I failed to see any new items on the picture you posted :O I’ve been playing alot lately, every day acually, and new items and heroes will certantly be welcomed. Acually, I think new items are more interesting then heroes, there’s already too many heroes compared to items and builds (imo).

All the items with blurred images are supposed to be new ones, according to IceFrog. He just doesn’t want to publish them yet. Though I am fascinated by the recipe layout.
The only one I know for sure, is that Aghanims Scepter is supposed to work for everyone, but with different results (not just ultimate improvements).

Not quite…Aghanims Scepter will improve ONLY the ultimates…but just for MORE heroes not ALL of them.I hate that Beta Maps leak and there’s no fun when he releases his map , cuz everyone knows the new items and new hero changes or the new ones….

I don’t know anything else about 6.60 apart from what I’ve posted here. Thanks for clearing up the Aghanim’s-confusion, ValyHunter. I’m actually more excited about the hero changes than the new hero. Last time it was Admiral, but I didn’t play him for like, three months after release? He’s solid fun though…
