I Am Leaving WoW - Goodbye Azeroth!

Alas, it is time for me to leave; Leave the World of Warcraft forever, just walk out of it and into the Real World (also known as RL) where there is no limits of player or level. Though the equipment we wear out here is soft and would’ve only served lousy priests, mages or warlocks. Ohh and paladins, as they tend to NEED on all +spelldamage cloth I’ve stumbled upon during an instance-run. They need it for healing apparently…if they want to heal, couldn’t they’ve re-rolled as priests?

I don’t care anymore, it’s over. Finito. The end. Not this text, but my stay in Azeroth - the World of Warcraft. I am uninstalling it as I write. That’ll also yield me approx 6.71GB of free harddrive space.

The game itself can be pretty boring, almost 50% of the time. And the keyword, the word that defines the game in it’s whole - is time. The game requires so much time that, if you want to be successfull in Azeroth, you have to give everything else up. Friends, family, lovers, slaves, work and the toilet. That blows and not in a good comforting way my electric fan does, but in a bad using-its-teeth-kind-of way. I don’t know how much time I spent playing this game and I wasn’t even on my way to being a hardcore player! I lost track of time (and by that it also means my money, since I paid for every month of existing in that world).

The greatest time is the time you share with your loved ones - that being friends, family, lovers or pets. I had some great time while in this world, where Night Elfs (gay) roam around throwing flowers and peace-offerings at everyone, and Orcs (awesome) show how fucking great their race truly is. No one likes a snitch, it’s said. That goes for Night Elfs too. Those purple skinned emo-filled losers who can’t be anything great, like a mage or warlock. I hate ‘em. They’re partially the reason for me quitting the game.

Other reasons was that the guild, Faithless, I was in was disbanded (blame it all on pre-TBC lazyness) and then I moved onto another server to play with some other friends. Though hardcore they were, I tried my best to keep up the levels and my motivation for getting myself another high-level character. I failed along the way. I don’t care anymore, thank God for that, since I knew from the get-go that I’d quit sooner or later; MMOs ain’t for me, sorry love. I need something that goes hard and fast, just like Zapp Brannigangs love (Futurama), and doesn’t require me to sit 4 or more hours just to kill some bosses. No thank you, I feel like I’ve done my share of killing monsters.

Well, that’s it. I didn’t get to experience a Raid Leader such as this one (Onyxia raid ftw), but I had a great time with Hartigon - a lad from England that spent alot of time online, talking with his manchester-accent and laughing at mine (I think). There’s some players I’d like to thank for making my stay a better one than without them.
Friskas: cock-eating motherfucker - I love yeh.
Ninanelf: OMG why NELF?
Slabben: Need I say anything?
Amber: I liked Linda better.
Elwing: Never. Seen. You.
Hartigon: Say hello to your girl from Baldy! (What was her name, Lucy? Jenny? Maddy?)
Gunders: I won’t forget the time you posted your Hunters Guide…all the people laughing while we raided ZG.
Aawarlock: Locktard.
Shadowfiller: Best healer ever.
Baldur: Don’t listen to Tom’s racism even though he offers you beer.
Flimzy: You are selfish with your innervates!
Focku/Right: I don’t get half of what you’re saying - and I understand less of what I do get.
Wogster: You still up, grandpa? (say “cheers” to Roxy for me)

I’ve actually quit before, but since I started playing again I decided that it wasn’t final. Now it is. I get a sensation of completion, warmth and strange fluids - something from my eyes. Oh shit it’s bloo—!

  4. louie:

i was in faithless i was almost kicked out of faithless for using cap so i was very rude to the leader that stupied warlock or mage i still want to kill him! FAITHLESS SUCKS!

  5. koew:

I can think of none other than that 15 year old danish kid, fitting to what you’re describing louie. I do not have any contact with the guild, apart from the one the vets only knew as Friskas.

  6. hartigon:

its amazing what u can find when u search into google during a workbreak, is this baldy mage?;D I think Jen wanted to stay in contact with you

  7. koew:

Hey Hartigon, how’s it going? Still playing those pesky protection-warriors you’d use to? And yeah, it’s me “Baldy”. I’ve even got a t-shirt from pre-Faithless times that says “Baldymage, 60 Mage, Chromaggus PVP”. Ohh, and give Jen a “Hello” from me, will you?
